I promised to share excerpts from the Leading Ladies Conference. The Conference was really amazing, I had a great time. The conference was organised by a faith-based organisation, Ladies of Delight Foundation.

The conference was divided into three parts: The first two were keynote speeches and then a panel session. I enjoyed both speakers, my favourite session was the last speaker, Dupe Akinsuin. She is someone that I had really learnt from through her community on Facebook, its called the Life’s Builders Network. The daily teaching really helped me to grow a whole lot. It’s a Facebook community that I recommend.

I don’t really have images of the conference yet so I wouldn’t be able to share now.

So here’s a summary:

The first speaker was Falujo Omoseye.

From the first speaker, I learnt that there is a God-design for our lives and this design is the most essential thing on the journey of becoming, that becoming is not a journey of assuming purpose but actually finding out the original plan that God had for our lives.

Self-discovery is okay. So far it leads you to find out who God made you be. God decides our destiny, we don’t make it up by ourselves.

She talked about being inspired by someone and getting stuck on that image and wanting to be exactly that is stopping at a signpost, a signpost is a pointer to your destination, not your destination.

She also shared that our future doesn’t take its bearing based on where we are coming from[ this is something that we have heard before but we also need to get to a place of internalising, where the size of our dreams and the images of our future aren’t based on our background].

It’s so important to follow the Holy Spirit since He knows the way better than we do! And also that we aren’t in competition with anybody  ( even our peers)and although there is a good likelihood of getting pressured because of the things that we are seeing others do! Because we are all on a separate journey even though we may live nearby.

The part that got me was where she talked about this: in the journey of life, there are no elevators only stairs [ which basically means for me that you have to put in the work and not just expect things to come to us and seek shortcuts but apply the universal principle of diligence].

Here’s my take: Following God’s plan has been something that I have struggled with. I can be quite opinionated and I like drawing out plenty of plans but one thing that has really helped me to trust and follow God is seeing his heart.  Knowing that God loves me and cares about me much more than I care about myself and that even though I have ‘big’ plans God has bigger plans.

Also, the notion that we have about God like He is the person that always negates all the great ideas that we have. A lot of times, the second-guessing that we feel in our doubt and that voice of fears concerning our dreams and purpose isn’t God, its the devil trying to discourage you.

That voice that tells you that your dreams are too big and you are too young for them definitely isn’t God! Joseph was 17 years old or less when God started giving him dreams about his future being a leader of the most powerful nation in the world at the time.

We might not be sure about your purpose or the God-design for you and you might not be sure the path that you are walking on right now is it but talk t God about it.

Don’t be under pressure to find it! Rest!

If you have any questions you can reach me at contact@ifeagboola.com . I’d be happy to help.

In my next post, I would share what I shared on the panel sessio and what I learnt from other speakers.

Are conferences overrated? A lot of people think that attending conferences is an overrated discourse. I attend a lot of conferences and I do not think so. Probably, you might know a lot of people that attend conferences but it seems like nothing different happened in their lives it is not because the conference wasn’t good enough it is because they did not act on the things that they learnt or remind themselves of it. Usually, I buy the audio materials from the conference to play while in transit, to say reminded and to actually hear things I didn’t hear during the conference. I strongly recommend this practice.

Conferences are a great means for personal development, networking and career advancement. Especially finding conferences that revolve around the areas of your interest and your industry.

On the other hand, some say that they never hear of conferences that are happening around them. Maybe they need change their circles and look out for information more and get deliberate about searching.

There are a number of ways to maximize attending a conference:

 Find out what the conference is about. Does it affect an area that is relevant to your interests? Don’t just step into any room or attend every event. Get a feel first of what it is about and then decide whether it’s for you.

 Find out about the speakers. I once attended a conference and the question someone asked during the Q&A was,’ so what do you Ma?’ It sounded absolutely foolish, the woman gave him a serious insult I am sure it took him a while to recover from.

During a little research isn’t so hard, simple Google them and read what comes up and also you can check them out on popular social media platforms like Facebook & Instagram. That way you have some background information about them and can better relate to their sessions.

 Try to also get a feel for what kind of gathering it is, so you can plan how to dress appropriately. You don’t want to be overdressed or underdressed. How you dress actually has amazing effects on your confidence levels and how you feel about yourself. You want to dress confidently and comfortably.

 Work on your networking skills, if you as terrible at networking and making new friends as I get a lot of practice ahead of time. Read ahead about how to make friends and network. I definitely recommend the book. How to win friends and influence people, it’s a great read and free downloads are available online.

 Plan your elevator pitch/bragalogue. This is a summarized version of who you are and what you do and how that affects people. It’s better to practice that beforehand. It would come in handy while meeting people and pitching yourself or your business. There are lots of resources online also that can help with that.

Social media handles particularly Instagram in this present age mostly suffices as a business card. That’s the idea and image that people get from you. So please go to your social media page and ensure it correctly represents and brands you.

 Arrive early! Don’t be let otherwise you might miss a great part of the conference. Plus you’d get good packing space and enough time to compose yourself before the event starts.

 If your friends are going to distract you please don’t sit with friends. I usually prefer to sit alone so I can concentrate and glean everything that is being said. A lot of times chatter by the side distracts us and then we miss the point.
Getting a front row seat is usually a good decision. It really helps concentration and you get a good feel of the speakers and the event.
Also, avoid walking around and frequent visits to the bathroom or trips to the vendors to buy food except during the breaks.
I’d suggest that you buy whatever you need before you are sited in the hall. A bottle of water and mint won’t be bad.

 Take notes/ make your own recording/buy the CD. Prepare money to buy other resources that might be sold at the venue.

The real work starts after the conference not during the conference. It is not just about what you know but how you are able to utilize and maximize what you know. People take notes during conferences but few people actually go back and read the notes that they have taken.

It is not just enough to take notes, what are the action points you will take based on the notes that you have written out. When do want to take those actions and how? Don’t just listen and write, plan the corresponding action and keep yourself in constant reminder.

I am a vision board advocate, so I strongly recommend making a vision board out of the inspiration, ideas and action plans.

Follow Up with the people that you might at the conference. A lot of times people network and all but they don’t follow up on it. Send a text or a message to the person you met saying hello and what a pleasure I was to meet them. I am not taking mere flattery but real honesty and then service that relationship. It is only when you need something that you’d remember the person and send a message out of the blues.

The last part is teaching what you have learnt. A lot of times, people tend to want to hoard what they know so that they can stay on top. The way to stay indispensable is to be able to replicate yourself in others. No, don’t! Spread your influence by empowering others with what you have learnt.

Pray! Pray! Pray! Ask God for help. Help in identifying the right conferences to attend and then to be able to gather relationships as a result and maximise them as well.

Hello, Happy new month!

Welcome to March. My deepest desire is that we take big leaps and move forward this month.

2018 seems to be going so fast already. That’s two months off the year. Time really waits for nobody! Who said a new year is only January 1? A new year really begins when you desire something is going to change with you. So please own this month!

For me, a new month is usually time to evaluate how I have spent my time the previous month. Time is the greatest resource that we have on earth, whether we are rich or poor. Our outcome is based on how we spent the time that we had. Everyone gets the same 24hours. One of the biggest battles that we would ever fight is the one for our time. So many things are trying to steal our time.

One of the things that I learnt while evaluating last year, I realized that I had not given a lot of thought to thinking and analyzing how I was spending my time or even keeping track on my progress.  This last month there, a couple of things that stole my time: social media, unnecessary conversations, oversleeping, the list goes on…

What’s stealing your time? It is very important to be able to point out what you do with your time and the benefit of those activities.

Honestly, I have a lot of unmet goals for the previous month. You know what we don’t do when things aren’t working the way we want it to do is  SHUT DOWN. Please don’t consider shutting down this month based on the experiences of the last two months.

I won’t forget what my mentor said a bad month is not a bad year. There is nothing wrong if you haven’t done as much as you would have liked to do and don’t allow other people’s successes to put you under pressure. Rather be inspired by their success and if their success puts you under pressure or makes you feel unhappy and depressed stop looking at them, simple solution yeah?  This is what social media does to us a lot of times especially Instagram, we can get so consumed watching other people’s successes that we forget to tend our own garden.

The grass isn’t greener on the other side you know, the grass is greener where you water it. Social media is the biggest blessing and curse all in one. One of the suggestions I have for you this month is to use social media to your advantage.

Use social media to project your brand and spread your message and use social media to learn.  Mentorship cannot be overemphasized and sometimes some of the biggest difficulties that we encounter is being able to share the same space with that person that you view as a mentor who is ‘up there’. However, social media allows the opportunity to share the same space. They actually share a lot of things on social media now. Take advantage of that, use it learn. What I do is pick my pen and jotter or make screenshots on my phone that I would refer to later.

Eliminate things that aren’t adding value to you. Eliminate the things and people that are putting you under pressure. That’s why they also included unfollow and unfriend buttons. If social media isn’t working for you as a whole, QUIT. Take a break or something.

LEARN!

This March determine to move forward. Learn! Learn aggressively every way you can, Take advantage of conferences, seminars, webinars, learning groups everything! Just be learning and improving every day.

I think a great way to begin this month is to pick a pen and paper and if you are more digital use your phone, tab, computer. Personally, I prefer writing my thoughts on paper. Think about February, how did you spend February? What are the achievements and failures of the month and what could you have done differently in February?

For example, in February I procrastinated a lot and I didn’t do many of the things that I planned to do. So that’s one of the things I want to do differently in March. It is very important to evaluate. That is how we move our lives forward on purpose.

We talk a whole lot about goal setting and I have discovered that few of us actually set any goals. Even sometimes when I talk about goal setting, I didn’t set goals myself. Perhaps, since January, you haven’t written any goals yet. It’s time to do that. It doesn’t have to be a list of 100 things. It could just be one thing. Although you are bigger than one thing, so you can do more than 1 thing.

Another thing that would really help is for you to get a VISION BOARD. If collecting and printing pictures is to difficult for you, just make a collage on your phone or laptop instead.

The reason why it is important is because our mind thinks in pictures and not in words. If I mention bag to you, what you immediately do is picture a bag in your head. Getting pictures of goals gives your minds something to focus on. I highly recommend that you do that.

A vision board is when you put the things that you desire or aim to achieve in pictures. I have vision boards for a different set of desires. I would share one beneath of a collage I made of women who have done things that I admire and I desire to do the same and even more, it’s on my laptop background so everything I start working on my laptop I see it everything as a reminder. I’d write an extensive post on vision-boarding later.

I also attached a blueprint on vision boarding Vision Board Blueprint.

If you aren’t really clear on what your goals are, my biggest suggestion is  GROW. Set a growth plan. Sometimes, there is this pressure to have it all figured out especially when the questions come and when it looks like everyone else has it all figured out except you of course!

You might be asking, so how I grow? by learning actually. My biggest suggestion is read more books, visit more blogs, use google a lot more.  Loads of things you can do actually but just ensure that you are DELIBERATE about it.

It’s not true, most people are only WINGING IT! They’ve come to understand that I don’t have it all figured out and yet while I don’t. I won’t pause, I would just keep on moving, continuing what I am doing and putting efforts consistently on a daily basis and figure it out on the way.

Every day just ensure that you are doing something that is moving you forward. An activity that is making you a better version of you. As you grow, you begin to see more and then begin to figure it out.

This March don’t play safe. Safe has not helped plenty people. DARE! Do more than you have attempted before. Force yourself out of your comfort zone and attempt something that you never have before. I’d share my story in the next post of I had to confront my mediocrity and push myself out of my comfort zone in February. It paid off!

Happy new month once again! Remember you are the one that really determines whether this month would be happy or not! Every month is a happy month. God has already loaded the month with amazing things!

I created a Facebook network where we can connect, please come around and join in on the conversations. You can join here.

Remember it’s not just what you know that matters. It is what you know and use. Perhaps in this post, you read nothing new because they were things you already knew, it doesn’t matter so far you are not using it. Start using it!

Hello everyone, it’s a new month the and I almost can’t believe that the whole of January is gone already!

January was so fast at first and it just slowed down… I am kinda of happy January is over although I wasn’t able to do as much I hoped I would but I understand that instead of crying over spilled milk, I can choose instead to look forward to making the future better.

Sometimes, our biggest problems lie in choosing to remain in a pool of regret or sadness over the things that didn’t work out. There is no need to do that.

The best thing to do is to acknowledge that it didn’t work the way we wanted it to and then ask the question, Why? Why didn’t it work out? What were the factors responsible? What could I have done differently?

It is important that we think and evaluate and decided to.move our lives forward deliberately.

Also, please don’t shut down for the entire year because January didn’t work out the way that you desired it would. Please do not.

Sometimes seeing the achievement of the people around us can put us under pressure to want to start doing also and can make us feel pretty bad ourselves.

We shouldn’t be under pressure or get depressed because of the achievements of other people rather we should allow it to encourage us. To show that if that person can do it, it means I can also.

There is a flip side to that too, everyone is gifted different and called to different things. Our talents and our abilities differ and are in different stages. This means you can’t necessarily do what the other person can do.

Own where you are and who you are and don’t try to do what the other person is doing. Find, recognise, acknowledge and celebrate your giftings. When you recognise what it is, start working on it and improving that gift or skill.

Another thing is although there was a lot of talk about goal setting, we didn’t actually get around to writing our goals down or we were just too haphazard about it. February is a good time to write those goals down.

February is the new January, your new year can start at any time. It really starts when you decide its new!

Don’t just run your life on autopilot and just live it as it comes. You have to be deliberate. Be deliberate about your friendships and associations. Get deliberate about your plans. Most especially get deliberate about your growth.

Sometimes we don’t even know which goals to set or what we want specifically! I’d just suggest plan to grow! Get a growth plan.

Growth is the key to success. Decide that you aren’t going to be the same person that you were when February began. This month please read books, attend webinars, conferences, coonect with new people, read up about the areas of your passion on the internet.

I have got great news, my new book drops this month! Its called The Do it Afraid Book. It is a guide to starting out on your dream even though you might be doubting, scared or second-guessing yourself.

Cheers to a new month! Let’s do epic things this month!

How has your week been?First, I am must tell you. I am super excited you are taking out reading this post.

Recently this thought had been crossing my mind a lot. Your dreams won’t work, unless you do. I have tried not to think about it so much but it keeps coming to me over and over so I decided to write about it.

Its true, your dreams won’t work unless we do. Our dreams won’t work themselves out. We are going to need to apply ourselves to them. Things won’t just fall into our laps, we must be willing to put in some work into it.

I saw a video on Instagram and it talked about giving that opportunity 100%. The truth is that many of us aren’t giving a 100% to the opportunities life has presented us. I read about a lady who had gotten a job and was retrenched just after six months and she was feeling really terrible but on probing deeper, it was found that she hadn’t been adding so much value to the organisation. Eventually, she got retrenched.

There is no person without gifts, but I wouldn’t matter whether or not you are gifted. We would need to commit to becoming better at those things. A man’s gift makes room for him, these are the stories of the people that have stood out in the world.

You can do more than you are currently doing. You may think you have reached the ceiling but if you dig deeper. You’d find more to give.

Be determined to find out what your gifts are and when you find ways to grow them. The best way to grow your gift is by use. Find ways to serve using your gift.

One way not to discover your gift is by looking at other people. If you are looking for others to find your giftings.

Sometimes, while looking at others, we may begin to feel inferior or feel a need to replicate the same things they are doing but don’t fall for the temptations.

Just do you.

Even your mentors. You are not called to do exactly what your mentor does. Observe, learn and be inspired by what your mentor does but don’t try to be the exact same thing. Find your ‘you touch’.

If you don’t believe that you are unique. Just consider that your neighbour has a different fingerprint form yours and no other person does anywhere in the world even though all fingers can imprint. Yours is different.

You have to own you who you are. A lot of time everyone is saying something on social media about how confident they are and everything. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that but its important that deep down. You actually believe those things that you say about yourself.

I haven’t absolutely completed that journey of knowing everything about myself or exploring all of my gifts but I know I am on that journey and that’s something you have to be deliberate about.

I am currently reading Myles Munroe’s Unleash your potential, it’s a read I strongly recommend to everyone. it would help you understand what you carry and how to give full expression to it.

I wish you a wonderful week ahead as you dig deeper into understanding yourself and your capabilities and seeking opportunities to use those gifts.

Hello!! Thank you so much for coming in to read this, it means a whole lot, I wrote it just for you!

How’s your year going?

Every year presents us with opportunities, which ones have you taken this year?

CRAZY, that is the theme of the year. You must be willing to do crazy things even at times when you aren’t absolutely sure of that opportunity. Go for it! Try it out, you’d figure out all the other tiny details along the way I promise.

If you are like me, you get a lot of different ideas but executing them can be a huge problem. I have since learnt that the way to execute is to execute, that is to just go ahead and do it. a lot of times we hold back because we are afraid of making mistakes and failing. What is more pathetic is not trying at all.

You miss 100% of all shots that you don’t take.

The worst that could happen is the idea fails yeah? Well, it just means that you have learnt a way of doing it that doesn’t work. TRY ANOTHER.

When we say just do it, it also means that you need to do your homework– your research and all. The reason why a lot of ideas fail is not that they are not viable enough it is because enough research and feasibility studies weren’t done on it and there was no plan, structure or training in place for it. You can go ahead and try that Idea that you tried before that didn’t work again this time with a lot more intentionality.

On another hand realising that we only get to live once awakens us to be open to trying out different possibilities. Instead of just trying to be safe. We have to be open to taking risks. The world has rewarded risk takers so much.

We all have giftings. Your gifts and your destiny require responsibility to come into full expression. The platform on which your potential is actualised is work. Seek opportunities to work.Working would place a demand on your abilities and as you use them they get better. This year ensure that you are not going to run from opportunities. Go ahead and take that responsibility, it might stress you but it won’t kill you.

The things that it may require you to do may be unconventional, I don’t mean against your moral. religious and personal values but might be unconventional in the sense that it might be unpopular, uncommon or never done before but don’t shy away. Be an outlier.

It might not make sense to you personally but still, do it! Sometimes what we do I start first and then figure out the intricacies along the way. Rather than not starting at all.

Take Nike’s advice: Just do it! This is not another year to keep procrastinating or putting it off until tomorrow. This is your year of NOW. Sometimes we think the future is far. The future is actually here already.

Send that message, make that call, show up at that office, write that article, open that website. Whatever it just starts working on it! If you are an undergrad please don’t say you would do it after you leave school. Start now. start sowing seeds and setting the foundation.

A lot of times especially in the entertainment world, we suddenly see a musician or an actress and in our colloquial term, we would say, The person “blew’ all of a sudden. There is a no sudden ‘blowing’. A lot of ties, its years and years of hard work and consistency behind the scenes.

Another thing we experience is the fear and doubt about whether or not our ideas are good enough. They are. Although it is important to say that some ideas need time to mature and a lot of working on and refining behind the scenes. Your ideas are valid. Ideas are the currency that the world spends. You might never know until you try it. So don’t just give up or dismiss that idea as unworkable. Sit with that idea, think it through, analyse it, brood over it and keep developing it.

One of those things that hold us back is fear, I won’t tell you wouldn’t be faced with scary or challenging situations but you have to do it afraid and in faith in spite of the challenges. The very definition of courage is the presence of fear but acting in spite of it.

I am not a perfectionist, some of us are. I love perfectionists sometimes I wish I were. I admire them for their orderliness, meticulous attention to detail and the excellent results that they produce. Whether or not we are perfectionists, we have all experiences stalling till when the time is right or when the resources needed are available. If we were to wait for everything to be perfect before we take a step. That day might not come.
We have to learn how to improvise and maximise the resources available.

A couple of friends wanted to start a photography studio, there weren’t any on campus at the time. They had all their perfect plans laid out. They needed to raise capital to buy a camera and other equipment, on the other hand, there was this group of other guys who simply just borrowed a camera and started. Its more than 10 years, the first group never started ut the second have studios across several states now.

Another great thing to do is surround yourself with doers.

Last, don’t just start because everyone else around you has started something because our WHY is super important. it would keep us going through the challenges. Sometimes unconsciously we get under pressure from the people around us.

Just do you, your original self. The world is waiting for the gifts and ideas that you carry. Please do not rob us.

Hello, happy new year.

How was your 2017?

2018

I recently just came to the realization that is a year is actually pretty shorter than I thought it to be. A year is just about 52 weeks and 365 days doesn’t sound so long. Another narrative I explored was that what if the Gregorian calendar we used was set differently, a year might have been longer or shorter and the new year would have definitely been at a different time.

The point I am getting at is that there is nothing super new about the days. It is our consciousness that is new. Whether it is going to be a happy new year or not might be solely left to our decisions and the actions that we take on them.

In preparing for the year, I tried to highlight a number of things that I would like to do this year. I came up with a really long list. Then it struck me that I might not be able to accomplish these things if I am the exact same person I was last year, having the same attitude, methods, approach and beliefs. I would at best repeat the success of the previous years or maybe slightly better.

Another thing I realised in reviewing the year was that one of the biggest mistakes I made was my failure to evaluate. Day by day, month by month, I had failed to evaluate how exactly I had spent it, so I could make adjustments. Many of us may be guilty of this also. I came up with a solution for this though. I am creating a customized journal that allows doing weekly evaluations of the things done right and wrong, set action points and also goals for the new week. You can preorder it here.

Putting together those two ideas, I would say that you have to make a commitment to becoming better. You have to make a commitment to growth. 2017 I grew incidentally not intentionally. I could have grown faster if I had chosen to be deliberate about improving myself. Glory to God for the incidental growth!
Be deliberate about growth. These are some of the ways that you can grow:

You

Books: Decide to read a couple more books in 2018. A lot of times we are not effective with our reading because we are reading randomly. Don’t just read randomly. Decide the areas where you need to improve, seek more knowledge in those areas. For me, one of the areas I want to improve is managing and creating wealth so I would read books in that line, some of the other areas for me is public speaking, writing and blogging. I would also be seeking knowledge in that area.

 PODCASTS & AUDIOBOOKS: these are really useful to get your learning done on the go. Podcasts are mostly free. So this is you learning a lot of things at no cost at all. You can listen to podcasts and audiobooks on the go, in transit and even as you get other tasks done. can replace some of your talk time with listening and some of the time you spend listening to music to learn something by the side.

 BLOGS: There are so many blogs that share a lot of useful information on different areas. Make a habit of reading blog posts and yes subscribe to newsletters also. Those emails can really be of great help.

 YOUTUBE: There are thousands of resources on YouTube that can help with practically anything at all. I have a lot of different skills just searching how to… this new year maximize YouTube. YouTube is also a great learning tool because our mind works quite visually also.

 GOOGLE: When in doubt, Google. When you are not in the doubt, Google. Google is an extremely good learning tool. Everything is on Google.

 SOCIAL MEDIA: Since we get to spend a lot of time on social media these days, why not just maximize that time. Apart from entertaining content and all. There are a lot of other great resources on the social media. Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and other sites.

Follow your mentors very closely on social media. There is so much you would learn from what they share on social media without even having physical access to them.
I would write a post soon on a list of people I follow on social media that have been of great good to me and how to maximize following a mentor on social media.

There is so much I would like to share but… this post is getting too long and our attention spans seem to be pretty short these days. I hope you found this helpful. If you did, please leave me feedback in the comment section.

Happy New Year once again! Cheers to Growth this year.

I just want to share one of the biggest lessons that I learnt this year. Most of us have recounted amazing times but the truth is that we all had a particular share of pain and disappointment and no doubt some mistakes were made.

This is a major thing I have realized reflecting on the year that I did not properly take time to evaluate through the year, many of us are guilty of this same offence. Our failure to evaluate how each week , each day, each month and quarter was spent. Often times our response when we make a mistake is to try to get over it right? If you are like me, you would opt in for selective amnesia and just try to completely obliterate the memory of the mistake. That method has its pros and cons.

I used to be a big perfectionist. I used the past tense because I hope I am getting better. I always want to be viewed as perfect and without a single blemish. Therefore, whenever I made a single mistake, I would mull over it for days talking to myself over and over about and just unable to let go of it. Plus, I am also a fixer (we fixers like to fix mistakes and redeem our image, you know what I mean set it straight) and the truth about being that way is that you can get super obsessive over your mistakes.

One of the biggest lessons for me was realising that I cannot control every outcome, I cannot fix every situation or make everything right or talk or do my way out of stuff. I learnt that it is really important to choose to take my own forgiveness, which is forgive myself for the mistakes I have made. Also, to receive the forgiveness that people would extend to me. I learnt to just allow things to be and let it go. I decided to take responsibility for my actions and simply take my hands off the wheel and trust God to fix it. God always shows up. I have learnt now to simply just talk to him about it and let him take care of it. In deciding to take responsibility for my actions; I also learnt that I am responsible, that Jesus is now responsible for me and by extension responsible for my mistakes. So I could simply just trust him with it.

The point I am really trying to make is that in a bid to quickly forget or get over my mistakes, we often miss one crucial step. Which is extract the lesson from the mistake. After getting the lesson from the mistake you are now free to let go and completely deliberately forget about it. Usually, the questions to ask are: What can I learn from this? How can I do better? How can I do things differently next time? We need to get the lesson out of every mistake so that we don’t end up repeating the same action next time without even knowing it.

There are people around us that would try to remind us of our mistakes, and would continue to view us as the person that we were or see us through the lenses of our mistakes. You must decide not to allow those kinds of people audience with you no matter how close they are to you. If they cannot choose to forgive you and make attempts to forget how you failed., you may have to create a distance between you and them. At least for some time till you are stronger in your resolve. Retaining constant memory of your mistakes won’t allow you to move forward.
Surround yourself with people and things that encourage you to be better. Personally, I decide to listen to my messages and sermons and find scriptures that talk about the forgiveness I have received and encourages me to move forward. Sometimes, I talk to friend who would encourage me to be better.

Whatever you have to do, do not shut down or give up on yourself. Continue, over and over. No matter how many times you falter, keep on going. Get up and dust yourself up. Continue!

I really hope that you found this article helpful! I look forward to receiving great feedback from you.
